I've lost my keys - what next?

We often recommend a full & complete change of locks as you cannot be sure if they were lost or stolen and if address information is known.
For insurance purposes, it’s always best practice to file a report at your local police station and many insurance companies will need this information if any claim is to be made.
I think my tenants may have copied my keys?
It’s a common fear, especially with the high turn around of rental properties here in Spain.
Best practice would be that at the beginning of each new tenancy you change the locks. This will ensure both you and your new tenant definitely don’t receive unexpected visits from someone who may have retained a key or copied one.
Copying keys is easy and key copying crime is unfortunately very common, which is why changing the locks with every change of tenancy is a good practice,
